DESCRIPTION: This automated system contains a record of arrests accessable by name for each individual with a police record. This system includes information concerning civil service applicants, taxicab drivers, solicitors, locksmiths, licensed club dancers, or all those required to be fingerprinted. This information includes: name, aliases if any, social security number, date of birth, dates of arrest, and type of arrest. This information is purged 90 years after date of birth, every 10 years in 10 year increments. The system is stored on hard disk and is backed up on tape every two weeks.
