APPRAISAL
Administrative Historical
Based on recent news reports, it appears that Utah will not be the site of a high level nuclear waste repository. Once a decision is reached, there will be no need for the office to retain these records. The portion of the records that effect this decision have long term value and should be retained. Background records, particularly those prepared by the federal government, need not be kept.
