DESCRIPTION: These records are used to monitor companies that have licenses to use radioactive material in states with which Utah has signed agreements. These companies may request, and be granted, the right to work with radioactive material in Utah for a maximum of 180 days per year based on the license that they hold in the agreement state. These records consist mainly of correspondence which includes requests for information, requests to work in the state, notifications that the out-of-state license holder intends to work in Utah, and copies of the out-of-state license.
