DESCRIPTION: Agency history research records contain information used to help maintain the agency database in the Archives computer system. They are also used by the staff in writing the formal agency histories that are used by researchers and staff in the Archives Research Center. Records added to the files may include agency organization charts, copies of formal written histories, news media articles about agencies, copies of directories, annual reports, legislative audits containing historical data about agencies, and memos documenting decisions made in relation to the creation and maintenance of records on the computer system.
