DESCRIPTION: These computer files contain information on surveys from members of the Utah State Historical Society. The surveys are used to assess several aspects of the membership. The information includes gender, age, education level, income, why they became a member of the Historical Society, which publications and events are preferred, what the Historical Society could do to improve, topics of interest, and other information relating to the Historical Society. The surveys are scheduled under series 21939. In the interest of maintaining privacy, names and addresses were not included on the forms. Other personal data was collected for demographic information. The quantitative data was input into Paradox and then transferred to Quattro Pro. The files are converted to an ASCII format for transfer with the data file code book to the Utah State Archives as the record copy.
