TITLE: Fire reports

ARRANGEMENT: Chronological by calendar year.
DESCRIPTION: In cooperation with counties, the Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands provides wild land fire protection for non-federal, unincorporated forest, range, and watershed lands. Fire reports are prepared and submitted by division personnel at the conclusion of a fire suppression effort. The reports include information on fire location and origin, land ownership, fire cause, suppression costs, acres burned, and resource damage. The reports are used for statistical analyses, occasional litigation, and determination of interagency responsibility for suppression costs. Field offices submit data electronically to the Salt Lake City office.
