DESCRIPTION: These records are applications received prior to the actual adoption of an impounded animal. They are used to determine the suitability of a potential adopter, their compliance with existing municipal and county ordinances and the best placement for the welfare of the animal and the community.These records contain the name of the potential adopter, physical address, phone numbers,and drivers license number, information about their home environment, yard, fence or kennel set up, number of animals owned currently, whether these animals are spayed or neutered, vaccinated and have a current dog license if applicable. These records also contain questions on what the adopter expects or wants from the animal, and what they are willing to do to work with the animal in such areas as obedience training, house-breaking, crate training, exercise, socialization, housing, grooming, etc.
