The retention on student loan records is five years after the loan is paid off in accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations (see 34 CFR 682.610 [d] [1-3]). The retention of the microfilm copy and the disposal of the paper is in accordance with 34 CFR 682.610 (d) (4) and the Utah Code Annotated 63-2-70.
